Massaman Lamb Shanks ( slow cooked)


The first of Autumn Chill has arrived, and what better way to nourish your loved ones than with a hearty Sourced Slow cooked Massaman Lamb shank Curry. One of my favourite time saving appliances is my faithful slow cooker. Ingredients are prepared the night before and put in the fridge overnight (covered). The next morning before leaving the house , the slow cooker is set to cook a succulent meal whilst out all day. There is nothing better than walking in the door after a long day knowing a delicious meal is ready to be served. The flavours permeate the vegetables and the meat is so tender it falls off the bone.

4 large potatoes cut into 1/4's ( add other favourite root vegetables if desired)

4 Lamb shanks

1 can of Brown Lentils rinsed

400g Sourced Massaman Curry sauce

Place Potatoes in bottom of slow cooker, add browned shanks, Lentils and Sourced Massaman curry sauce.

Set slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours

Serve in Bowls with Rice and top with picked Coriander leaves and crushed peanuts.
