Spiced Cabbage warm Salad


This week I baked a Standing Rib roast to serve with the Sourced Massaman Curry Sauce. So this side salad was inspired by the ingredients I had in my fridge. As this recipe was improvised you may wish to adjust the seasonings to taste.

Spiced cabbage

1 Tabs Olive Oil

1/2 tsp fennel seeds

1/4 Cabbage thinly sliced

2 shallots , sliced

2 carrots grated

1/4 cup raisins

1 pkt Bean sprouts

1 bunch broccolini chopped

1 yellow capsicum diced finely

Handful of chopped continental parsley

1 tsp ground cumin

juice from 1 x lemon

50 g crumbled feta

Heat oil in frypan, add fennel seeds and cook till popped and fragrant. Add cabbage, broccolini and capsicum sauté till cooked. Remove from heat and place into bowl with rest of ingredients. Toss and serve.
